Forces in Motion Live! Field Trip — Article with Permission Slip —
The King’s Fork Middle School 8th graders have been invited to attend a free performance of “Forces in Motion Live!” on Friday, September 16, at 9:00a.m at Forest Glen Middle School.
The popular show incorporates hip-hop music and dancers with student volunteers and onstage, interactive science experiments to demonstrate how physics plays a role in everyday life. Each performance focuses on Newton’s Universal Law of Gravity and Three Laws of Motion. Named after Newton’s Second Law of Motion [Force equals Mass times Acceleration], FMA Live! uses music videos and interactive scientific demonstrations to teach and inspire students to pursue STEM careers. Demonstrations will involve both students and teachers, a Velcro wall, a gigantic soccer ball, blow-up wrestling suits, and the “Newtonator.”
In order for your eighth grader to attend this special event, please return the bottom portion of THIS FORM (Link) to his/her homeroom teacher by September 15. No permission slips will be accepted after September 15. Seating is limited to 300 students and will be on a first come, first served basis.
